Teachers of the Bay Shore UFSD Distribute “Kick the Cabin Fever Care Kits”

The teachers of the Bay Shore UFSD are looking to give back to their students, as they have had their childhood tremendously impacted over the past couple of months. Throughout this week, the BSCTA will be distributing “Kick the Cabin Fever Care Kits” to the children of Bay Shore and Brightwaters, grades K-12.

The content of each kit varies depending on which grade the child is in. Children in grades K-5 will receive crayons, a coloring book, a jump rope, a craft, a BSCTA pencil and bag, a book and a Slice of Bay Shore coupon; children in grades 6-8 will receive color staking pens, a color your own notepad block, a color your own canvas pencil vase, a BSCTA pencil and bag, a book and a Slice of Bay Shore coupon; and lastly, children in grades 9-12 will receive stress balls, individually wrapped earbuds and a Slice of Bay Shore coupon.

Distribution will take place at the BSCTA office, located at 45 Third Avenue. All social distancing protocols will be followed and distribution will take place outside. They will also be delivering kits to families who are not able to pick them up at the office. Please see the schedule below to see when you can pick up your kit.
