Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone will join with Legislator Rob Calarco and Village of Patchogue Mayor Paul Pontieri to announce that the Village of Patchogue will receive $625,000 in County Jumpstart Program funding to support economic development in Downtown Patchogue. The funding, which will support construction of a municipal parking garage, complements ongoing redevelopment and revitalization in Patchogue, including new business investment, new residential development and new job opportunities.
The Suffolk County Jumpstart Program is part of a comprehensive economic development plan designed to encourage, foster and enhance the planning and development of regionally significant developments in and around Suffolk’s downtowns. The County has awarded $11.3 million in Jumpstart funding since 2013.
