LONG ISLAND MOTORCYCLISTS TO RAISE FUNDS TO BENEFIT CAMP FOR KIDS WITH CANCER AT 17TH ANNUAL COLD FINGER RUN

LONG ISLAND, NY – On Sunday, January 5th, hundreds of Long Island motorcyclists are expected to brave the cold for a great cause and join WBAB Afternoon Drive host “Fingers” for the 17th Annual WBAB Cold Finger Run.  This unique Long Island event is a benefit for the “Camp Adventure” Oncology Camp program.

The WBAB Cold Finger Run takes participants on a 40-mile run from the Cradle of Aviation in Garden City to Stereo Garden in Patchogue, where riders will be treated to food, raffle prizes and live music with Long Island legends “The Stanton Anderson Band”.

Over the past sixteen years, the WBAB Cold Finger Run has raised over $250,000 for Camp Adventure, which gives Long Island children battling cancer a unique opportunity to enjoy the camp experience, while receiving care and medical treatment. The camp is run by volunteers and supported through donations from individuals and businesses.

Camp Adventure is managed locally by Motivational Recovery Environments, Inc. a Copiague based 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children, families and young adults coping with life-threatening illnesses. (kidsneedmore.org).
