Revitalized Historic Jones Beach Oceanfront property celebrates Grand Opening June 7
The grand opening of the renovated former Marine Dining Room at the West Bathhouse at Jones Beach, Long Island’s newest premier oceanfront dining and special occasion venue Gatsby on the Ocean has emerged and will celebrate its official grand opening on Friday, June 7 with a ribbon-cutting at 10:30 a.m. on the East Patio. A large contingent of elected officials, local dignitaries and special guests will be welcomed to the spectacular new venue by Gatsby on the Ocean.
Originally opened in 1931, the property is steeped in Robert Moses-era history, which has been incorporated into the design through art deco touches and furnishings reminiscent of a bygone time period. The 5,500 square-foot interior comfortably seats up to 260 people, with exterior patios offering breathtaking views for 75 guests. Gatsby on the Ocean also features a bridal suite and groom’s lounge, which may accommodate 20 attendees for private dining/events. Adding to the historical charm are acknowledgements of the venue’s previous use – the bridal suite once served as Robert Moses’ personal office and the groom’s lounge was his conference room.
