The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation – Long Island Region would like to advise that the 2021 Annual Caumsett Fishing Permit will only be sold via online submission through DocuSign. There will be no in-person sales at Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve or the Regional Permit Office. The permit will go on sale on January 4th, 2021 at 7:00AM and is limited to the first 500 applicants.
The permit fee is $40 for New York State residents and $75 for out of state residents. Applicants are strongly encouraged to be prepared and ensure they have the required documentation prior to sales beginning on January 4th. Applicants will be required to provide the following to purchase a 2021 Caumsett Annual Fishing Access Permit:
• Valid Email Address
• Valid Driver’s License
• Valid Vehicle Registration
• Valid NYS DEC Recreational Saltwater/Marine Fishing ID #
• Valid Credit Card for payment (Amex, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, Debit Card.)
Individuals are encouraged to apply, if they have not done so already, for the NYS DEC Recreational Saltwater/Marine Fishing Registry prior to January 4th, 2021 and can do so online at https://decals.dec.ny.gov/DECALSCitizenWeb. On Monday, January 4th, 2021 at 7:00AM there will be a link posted at www.parks.ny.gov on the Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve page for applicants to apply online for this permit.
